In 1997 Vernicos Yachts was the first yachting company worldwide to attain the internationally recognized quality certificate ISO 9001, by the Hellenic Organization for Standardization (ALIO) with the code 02.29.01-20/354, for yacht charters and sales.

ISO, the International Organisation for Standardization is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. ISO 9001 specifies generic quality management system requirements for organizations who aim primarily at achieving customer satisfaction by meeting agreed requirements through continual improvement of the quality management system and its implementation and through prevention of nonconformity.

Eight quality management principles have been identified to facilitate the achievement of quality objectives. These are:

Administration, and the personnel involved with the activities of chartering and brokerage, serves our obligations and commitments fully conformed to the manual of Quality Assurance, the Quality Procedures and the Operation Instructions of whose application becomes bounded since 02-01-1997.

The Administration offers all the necessary human and material means, for the materialization of the Quality Objectives for the successive application of the Quality Assurance System and the updating and training of the personnel, and assigns to the manager of Quality Assurance the duty of coordination and inspection for the operation of this system.
